About Visite
Visite is a travel guide to Brazil with one stubborn difference: it does not write about destinations. Each page is built by an engine that starts from official data and turns it into useful information: when to go, how much it costs to get there by car, what the sun will be like. The whole idea fits in one sentence: to be the reference you can check.
Who is behind it
Visite started with a Brazilian traveler and developer who was tired of guides that repeat the same generic text, so the choice was to calculate each page instead of copying. Content editing is handled by Myllena Vieira: she is the one who reads what the engine calculates, checks that the recommendation makes sense for someone about to hit the road, and gives the text the voice of someone who knows the way. The team is small on purpose, and every number appears with its source next to it.
The mission
We want to be the citable data reference for domestic tourism: the place where a person (or an AI assistant) looks for a reliable number about traveling around Brazil and finds it with the source next to it. We believe that traveling close to home deserves the same quality of information that goes into a trip abroad. Brazil up close is big enough for a lifetime of travel; what was missing was an honest guide to it.
How the site works
Each destination page is programmatic: an engine cross-references the place's coordinates with public databases and runs open calculations: month-by-month climate comfort score, cost of the route by car, crowding by public holiday, sunrise and sunset. Where the data is an estimate, we say it is an estimate; where it has a date, we show the date. Real images come from Wikimedia Commons with credit; category illustrations are AI-generated and identified as such. No made-up text about a place nobody has checked.
Climate normals: temperature, rainfall, humidity.
Municipal data and territorial references.
Coordinates and structured facts (CC0).
Open map, routes and points of interest (ODbL).
Fuel prices for the cost of a car trip.
Real images with credit to the author.
Transparency is the method
We do not ask for blind trust. The formula for each indicator (and the official source it comes from) is open in our methodology. If a number looks odd, you can trace how it was calculated. That is the commitment: show the work.

Visite is free. The site shows ads and has links to sites where you book the tour (Civitatis), the hotel (Booking.com) and the flight (Decolar and Vai de Promo); how this works is explained in the Privacy Policy. Using these links does not change the price you pay and does not alter what the data says: the calculation comes before the recommendation, never the other way around.
